Frames & Mouldings

At Doors Plus Floors we can supply one of the largest ranges of Door Frames & Mouldings available in Ireland.

Frames: A Door Frame is what connects your door to the fabric of your home. They come in a range of styles and sizes to suit any opening and wall thickness. Some of the different types include:

• Solid Timber
• Engineered
• Veneered

They can come rebated or with separate door stop to suit different thicknesses of door and are available in finishes either to match your door or suitable for painting.

Mouldings: This is the term used to describe the finishing materials around your door. The Architrave lies flat against the wall to cover the joint with the frame. You also have the option of putting another matching piece around the Architrave which is called Hockey Stick.

We also sell Skirting which is designed to match the chosen Architrave. As with the Framing & Architrave this is available in Solid Timber or Engineered.

Saddle Boards: These are the curved lengths of wood which are placed beneath the door and fixed to the floor. These are optional and normally used to cover the join between different floor coverings on either side of the door.
